Waters Edge~
This little reservoir used to be full of large mouth bass, sunfish, blue gill hybrid, trout and grass carp.. so we came with fishing poles and appetites, for I have never had blue gill.
We were disappointed to find that the reservoir was virtually void of all game fish, and the only carp we saw were rotting in the shallows along the shore.
But all was not lost on this trip
we had brought along the canoes and still enjoyed a wonderful weekend spent with family,
and the reeds along this little lake were full and alive with nesting birds, geese, red winged blackbirds, grebe, and mud ducks just to name a few.
The lighting was perfect for photos and the kids got to spend some time with their grandparents ~ That is the important part.

Such a beautiful photo and so sad about the state of the reservoir. You seem to be able to find beauty in all seasons, this photo is no exception.

Hi Stacey,
nice pictures of the reservoir and the second image is simply gorgeous! Have a nice week end!
The top picture tells enough of a story to write a book – there is a lot to see there.
