Patterns

Summer here in the west slowly drifts away with the cool evening breezes. With the return of the cooler weather, also comes the return of the local wildlife, moving into their Fall patterns. I love this time of year, but know that it is time to once again prepare for the long cold winter months…

Please stay warm and dry, and comfortable in all that beauty…

City life where I live isn't completely devoid of nature — this year my yard and the hillside below has been host to two mother deer — one with two fawn and the other with one…   On occasion Papa Deer comes walking through too…

I dislike the thought of winter returning, however, I reslish the thought of autumn. This photo reminds me of a a big buck I called "Bruce" who would stay around our Mountain home in the fall. Majestic and beautiful that is the only time he came around….debbie

    Hi Stacey,
Wonderful shot!! Here too the winter is coming, the light is decreasing quickly and all the birds (almost) have migrated back to their winter station! Very few oF them are still here, but the landscape is becoming wonderful with the autumn colors!

Beautiful photo and oh how blue the sky. It was 56 degrees here this morning, the last day of Aug., and the ground is beginning to receive the yellow leaves. The walnut trees loose theirs first. Peace

Love the shot of the buck! Even though I'll be glad when it starts to cool off some.It gets very hot here and it will probably stay this way for a while.I do enjoy the pics of the wildlife and always look forward to seeing more.

I don't think I could live happily anywhere there wasn't a change of seasons. I love each one of them.

    Lovely photo.

    Hi Stacey
Beautiful image giving off a brief moment of peace and tranquility before getting back to the hard rigors of life in the wild. Dont know how it is for you at the moment but our seasons are not running true to form. Still we just have to live with what mother nature throws at us.

    Hi Stacey,
A beautiful image. It is a strange thing, but the photographer looks forward to the beauty of autumn and the excitement in the wildlife world, yet I hate to see another winter approach.

That's a winner any day Stacey. Congratulations.

Even though our part of the country didn't get much of a summer, I do welcome the crisp cool of the fall. Just wait a little longer before the snow…

Amazing photo! Autumn is a wonderful time of year for wildlife viewing. Also, the leaves are at their peak. But it is sad that it brings the winter in which many animals struggle.

    ….ohhhh…..gorgeous photo….mood indigo…

Autumn is my favorite time of the year for many reasons such as the cool nip in the air, the leaves turning colors, fall festivals, the smell of a wood stove and of course deer hunting season.
